I figured since I have the latest macbook with a speedy processor but a shitty graphics card. I thought I would try installing Team Fortress 2 on OSX. Some of you will ask, Steam supports macs now? No. I was running an emulator (or layer) called Crossover Games by codeweavers.
Here is some glitching screen shots
Last week I pre-ordered the orange box when they said that they will allow us to download the beta on monday september 17. So I went to work on monday fired up steam and there it was, but I was only allowed to pre-load the game but not play it. What the hell I thought?
It was 11pm and still no game, nothing on steams website, this was getting on my nerves. My only break of the week and I can get to enjoy with a game that I have purchased. What sucks more is that I have an old desktop so I had to play it at work. The next day it was released, I was assigned to work in the lab where they have brand new computers, wohoo I thought. Logged in and after a 4 hour download it works!
Opinions of the game:
The graphics were pretty cool with the cartoony look and animation, what was slightly disappointing that they changed the weapons. For example, no grenades, what kind of military carry no grenades?!! some of the ranges on some weapons were short eg: flame thrower.
This game was a disappointment as a sequel to the old Team Fortress, that came out around 10 years ago. But! If you look at this game as a whole new game (as in not comparing it to the original team fortress), it is awesome and fun to play.
Other than that the game play is fun to play and would recommend it for anyone.
